Windscreen replacement - Which of these workshop to choose

replacement without going through insurance will be at least $400 or more depending on brand of car. solar film is separate cost.

Hi guys,

 

Is the windscreen replacement excess $107 applicable to rear windscreen?

I am also covered under AXA... have demister problem with my second-hand toyota axio (02/2008), just purchased this month from 2nd hand car dealer at Turf City.

Went to the dealer's workshop to check but found nothing wrong with the wires on the rear windscreen but the rear just unable to clear the fog away... was told by the workshop that it might be a problem with the glass. My dealer suggest to break the rear windscreen with a rock and claim from AXA. Any advice pls.

 

My insurance excess for windscreen is $100, which i am already aware of.

 

I am just curious on the windscreen replacement cost and if the solar film can be parked under the whole cost.

my excess is $107 with GST, if I make a claim to change my windscreen due to a five cent to ten cent size crack/chip will this claim affect premium next year??

windscreen replacement doesn't affect premium. but do check your policy, there might be some unique ones

I just contacted glass fix. Good organsied follow up. My policy has a $0 windscreen excess.

Just fill up a claim form with some photos and pay $120 for solar film.

you mean they come to you and fix immediately? how long it take to replace?

I think he meant repairing the glass chip, should be completed in a few hrs.
