Maybe you can tell us what actually happen to your manual gear box? because it's very rare that manual gear box actually spoilt, could be some linkage problem or something else.

I mentioned Chery becos the car is only 4 yrs old and whether spare parts is avail from most spare part shops.

 

My gearbox problems I have is some noise and difficulty getting into gear.

I suspect gear-bush problem.

 

I mentioned Chery becos of concerns whether I have to go back to agent or the regular workshop can repair it.

(if Chery spare parts easily avail...)

If it's difficulty shifting into gear, you can try changing gear oil, it's much cheaper than changing gear box. What does your Chery spec for your gear oil? 75w90?

Chery control their own spare parts, if u wanna get the parts from them then get it done at outside workshop it will be dame troublesome.

And likely they will say no parts available, but they can perform magic if you get ur car being repair there. The parts will appeared lol

If go Vertex, likely will be carroted big time. Should to Johor chery agent, price more reasonable.

Describe your noise and difficulty engaging gear? Do you crunch when the car is moving? and shifting down/ or up?

 

Which gears are giving you problems? Is the clutch disengaging? Is there pressure in the master/slave, or if its a cable actuated clutch, is there any slack in the cable?

pl don't go to comfortdelgro, I sent my good car to them for normal servicing and was told to change many parts. Now my auto transmission gearbox is damaged.

Dear China Car User

 

I am facing with de stress over the pass few months when my 5 year old A168 start to break down bits by bits. I have a hard time looking for someone to repair it. BUt thank God last month a trip to JB prove fruitful when i get to repair my gear bush. He is indeed specialised in with repairing. And I am going to share with bros here.
