Hi Bros,

Few days ago, I found that some of the external rubber parts on my Toyota Fielder was stolen. One was at the front windscreen wiper panel, the other was my rear wiper arm cover. I called the stockists and found that for the front wiper panel, its sold as a complete set, they don't sell the corner rubber. For the rear wiper arm, they sell the whole arm, and not the cover.

Need some help to see if anyone knows of any scrapyards specializing in Toyota Axio / Fielder. Some ppl I asked just said "Woodlands" but when I asked them where exactly, no one knows. Woodlands is very big... I know of a few scrapyards near Gambas ave and will probably try to find them.

Firstly, the lowlife who stole your things should be shot.

There are some scrapyards along woodlands industrial park e5 and e3 if I'm not wrong. Went before to search some spare parts too but prepare to bargain aggressively before buying.

I don't know why it was stolen. I am suspecting this guy probably drives a fielder and lost these parts somehow and realized it's expensive to replace because it's sold as a whole part? So happened to see my car and pulled them out. I realized they are quite easy to be pulled out. (cos I tried my right hand side which is still intact).

Maybe in a way it's still better than getting a hit-and-run? :D

Wiper cover about S$ 12 per pc can buy from any Toyota Parts dealer.

But for the windscreen lining for your front windscreen, i doubt any used available from scrapyard & anyway any used lining already harden oevrtime due to direct sun under heat & may not fit well & may also chances of water seepage into the inner portion of your front windscreen.

As your ride was parallel imported (That's why someone target to steal your parts & pls considerto have any HD cam installed with motion detect functions better upon work done) likelihood have to indent this lining from Japan or else can try to check with "Tuffif" ("Tuff-Kote" located directly opposite "Vicom" @ Sin MIng Rd) if they have the lobang for the said windscreen lining as they're specialise for windscreen replacement work & lining was part of their replacement parts too.

I'm very sure it didn't drop out. Cos the front wiper panel rubbers were designed with some hook thingy that clips onto the plastic panels.

Bikeshop?? definitely won't have these moulded parts. A round cap, is not what I'm looking for - otherwise I can go find in hardware store and get a chair feet rubber.....

I found 1 shop that has the rear wiper cover, but didn't quote me the price. Wanted me to go down and see / compare.

The windscreen lining - I think 2nd hand should still be ok since this car's model is only 4yr old max I believe?

This kind of thing usually happens with parallel imported cars. It happened to me as well. My front bumper inserts were stolen.

I think many ppl would be tempted to just pluck it from another car - but isn't that just theft? I don't know if the guy who stole my rubber parts was a victim himself, but I decided I would just buy them to replace it back. So I'll be roaming Woodlands on Saturday.

Thanks bro. Will check out Woodlands industrial Park E5 and E3. One other thing that came to my mind was to check out Prime Taxi's Toyota Fielder fleet. I remembered they have a workshop in Tuas or something and I previously went there to check something. Maybe they have some junk Fielders scrapped for their own use?? Need to find that workshop address again.

Someone had stolen the wiper cover too as quite common got re-sales value and easily removed. Even the roof top antenna also can get stolen easily for MPVs too. Met an unlce of early-60 before CNY at "Fong Tat" and his Nissan Presage antenna also got stolen and trying to get one at "Fong Tat" too.

"Prime Taxi" WS was at Benoi Place (Exit Benoi Rd along AYE of Tuas direction and left-turn then travel around 1 km and see a "Kopitiam" at corner and turn in and right-turn at the end)

Mine's a uncommon car actually. Apart from some Prime Taxis using Fielders, you hardly see them on the roads. For the $5k premier ontop of Axio, many would just choose Allion. It's very common in Japan but I've never seen this car out of japan (other than Singapore). Infact, I travel quite often and I'm quite keen to check if other countries carry spare parts for this make but almost no luck. Japan on the other hand - surprizingly the spare parts are very expensive.

And I thought uncommon cars normally do not fall prey to these thefts. But then again spare parts aren't easy to get.
