Mkl22 Twincharged November 14, 2018 Share November 14, 2018 Actually even if it’s a workshop boss car, it doesnt mean it’s well maintained. Have see quite some who just use it as a set of wheels to get around. Most I assume would be too tired or can’t be bothered to work on their own cars
Toeknee_33 Turbocharged November 14, 2018 Share November 14, 2018 Assuming that the VRN is original and the car is 39 years old, then i'd say it's in very good condition. Most car bodies of that period aren't rust-protected and most would have dissolved into a pile of ferrous oxide if not maintained.
Atrecord Supersonic November 14, 2018 Share November 14, 2018 Datsun 120Y Stationwagon. The engine was running so rich that I got a high while taking this pic. i learnt my driving on a 120Y. The gear was so loose, i kept thinking that no need to step the clutch, also should be able to engage type And i remember the orange, blue, green colour tape the instructor pasted on the front and rear windscreen, to help learners to park... Thanks to him and the 120Y, my $400 was very well spent getting my license.

Thanks to him and the 120Y, my $400 was very well spent getting my license. Me too! I got my license at the first try behind the wheels of the facelifted 120Y (ET1952, I still remember) when I was still in JC. The passenger footwell had a brake pedal and a foot-operated horn. My sweaty palms always slipped on the heavy steering wheel when doing parking and 3-point turns, and my fierce but effective instructor made me wearing cotton gloves..haha! I think that time the 120Y was the default L plate cars... I was struggling during my JC days, so went to sign up for basic theory right after 'A' Levels with a classmate. Heng cleared basic, advance and later the practical test just before my PDL expired, also at first try. I actually dun recall my instructor's car got brake pedal on passenger side - maybe cos he didn't need to use it when i was driving (haolian here ). The steering wheel got no power steering those days. I can imagine if you have sweaty palms, can be quite jialat ↡ Advertisement
