Nice from far but far from nice.

Check out the rough-cut battery tiedown.

Yeap correct ..... most likely the original might have been too small for bigger battery possibly or quick battery job , good visual by you

Why is the bonnet popped open? Go car viewing for mid life crisis issit? Hahaha

Yah mid life crisis... But money not enough. Actually I am starting to appreciate some classic sport car, and that about it. Owning one would require a deeper pocket, along with a lot of passion and love.

Below is one good example of how the owner have ruined a classic, without giving it due love and care... Really heart pain to see the car in this shape [smallcry]

Lotus Esprit S3 HC

(<3,000 units NA version produced between 1986 - 1987)

BTW owner mod it to look more like the Series 4 variation, but if you observe the details, not hard to see that it is actually a Series 3 instead.

and worldwide no demand for this? unlike those Porsche..

Not in this state I guess. Prob yes if revert back to original look. But can't imagine how much $$$$$ that'll take.

Last week I chance upon a VW Polo which I never see before.

The Polo is in red and looked like this....

juT1ImP.jpg

What caught me is its sunroof. So far I know they offered the sunroof for the Polo GTI but not on a regular Polo.

As I walked to the back I saw the badge "TSI 180"

Sound like it's some limited edition Polo.

Too bad I didn't take a pic then, but yes, the Polo TSI 180 do exist in SG, and with sunroof too..

the handling is rather roly poly ..

worst on rainny days

Turbocharged

Once in a while could still see an old March or starlet.

Charade seems to have been completely wiped out.

Hi, the Lotus belongs to me. I purchased it a few months ago from a friend who had for personal reasons stopped driving it and parked it in an open car park for a long period. While I was in the process of beginning the restoration of the car, I unfortunately had some major engine trouble. That is why the car was towed to and parked where it was photographed for one week while waiting for my mechanic to make space in his shop to take the car in. The car has since moved to the workshop and restoration works are due to begin. The road tax is NOT expired. The car was laid up after the above-mentioned engine trouble. The plastic covering the window is because the window is unable to go up, and the car cannot be started.

It’s such a small world here , get posted and someone responds so quickly , all the best in your endeavors

If in another country, maybe can just swap out the Lotus engine with Tesla motors and batteries.....

Here's a vehicle not too common even in Shanghai (It's private plate):
