Helix E62C or B62 / German Maestro CS-6508IV. ( Price?)3. Sound Proof my 2 front door.( How many layers? )Any guru to advise? It would be good if you are able to indicate the shop name and price of the Helix component speaker through PM.Can't really get much info from Google for Helix E62C and B62C component speakers from owners.Your help is greatly appreciated. Dunno Neutral Newbie March 5, 2012 Share March 5, 2012 I would prefer the German Maestro over the Helix, should cost you under $400 with installation. Soundproof just go for 2 layers each door, should cost $200-300, depending on the material used.
Fuelsaver Supercharged March 5, 2012 Share March 5, 2012 personally have tried helix b62c (400 w install & localised sp), 4-layer sp (200/dr) & mosconi amp (700 w/install) - i felt it worked very nicely. previously w just spkr (w/o sp & amp), better than stock but noisy at higher volume (due to sound reflect / refract everywhere within metal door panel). add sp, some missing bass could be heard while listening to same tracks. add amp, improved sound stage, clarity & concentration; don't have to turn on so loud, as soft and loud notes gap difference not so far. not to mention my pioneer hu is entry-mid level type only; imagine u have higher end ones... If want Amp, I don't think Helix is good choice. Would prefer other speakers with strong clarity. Helix has good bass and generally nice sound, but a bit over-bearing feel when in-car. It just sounds like a loud high-fi system. You can't feel the refinement of sound, such as pluck of guitar, or the crystal clear cymbal.
