White Exhaust Smoke

My 2-year old car emits quite a lot of white smoke when starting in the morning. Running the engine after a while, then no more. I did not experience this situation when the car was newer. Is it normal?

Thanks for reply, but if it is normal, why last time don't have? That's why I ask. I actually emailed my AD for an explanation, but nothing heard so far.

Have your engine ever overheated? May need to bring your car to workshop to diagnose. My case, my gasket cracked causing white exhaust smoke.

Never. If gasket crack, then white smoke not only starting but all the time, right?

Duuno whether it is normal but I always see white exhaust from the car in front every morning.

Due to cold morning air?

It is normal. It happens in the morning or during cool weather when you did not drive your car for more than 12hours. The white smoke will disappear after about 3-5km drive.

p/s: I feel the smoke looks cool especially with dual/quad exhausts.

Hair line cracks might not resulted in constant visible white smoke all the time.

It can build up after prolong engine off, hence seeing it every morning.

Normal? Not entirely sure..

Just watch out the drop in all cooling liquids.

Best way is to bring it to the workshop to get it checked, which I'll do so in the next couple of months. Will update all.

You need to look at the weather. I remember my place last night heavy rain. Confirm it will be cold and today white smoke. If last night super dry and hot and today morning will not have smoke.

Anyway, you can also smell your exhaust to know if you are having any problem.

If you park your car till noon time. I can assure you no more white smoke. If still have confirm you need to check your engine.
