Speed controls being used in India ... How's this for effective speed control?

 

I don't know about you, but this would certainly slow me down!

Drivers slow down and actually try to "straddle" the hole.

 

 

This is an actual speed control device that is currently in use.

It is MUCH cheaper than speed cameras, radar guns, police officers, etc.

 

 

 

Pretty clever -- especially when they move them around every day.

Just put mini humps on all filtering lane.

Those yellow black, plastic made, regular trapezoid shaped humps on the road.

Every car will have to drive slow.

Best to install such humps at all Mandatory give-way to bus exits at bus stops as well. So that cars will not likely to speed in bus lanes.

 

Humps will not destroy a car suspension, when compared to potholes.

i don't think it's a good idea. Some kancheong spider last minute see the "pot hole" wait crash his car (maybe onto other cars)... and he would blame the people who put the "pot hole" there...
