Why will Audi A5 sportback jerk when in low gear.

Can any want please advise, as my car is very new, so when picking up or accelerate from 1st to 2nd gear the car will jerk.

Do you mean the jerk is caused by

 

the self shifting nut behind the wheel?

Not self shifting , but using normal auto shift

If its normal auto the shift should be buttery smooth,

 

maybe you have a faulty box.

S-tronic? It's a DSG box, semi auto box.

In other words, a manual gearbox with an automatic clutch.

So u experience similar jerkiness like pure manual boxes.

You maybe suffering from the famous MU problem

I don't understand what is MU problem, can u pl advise

This not true.

If you are good in your clutching, manual gear can be very smooth.

MU for Audi is not the DSG GB. MU is CVT in Audi term.

S-tronics is DSG for Audi, which the A5 is using.

I think he meant MU as the mechatronic unit - the cause of many a VW owners' woes.

Not the Multitronic CVT, which is also not without problems.

 

Audi should have stuck with the superbly reliable Tiptronic auto.

think u shld visit autodealer and email for time date press for future negotiation, they can be badass almost all the sometimes i can think of.

full check! then frrrack the road and stay happy.

The best go back agent,they plug in the computer,& know the problem.
