Hi

Can anyone recomend a good place to buy and install HID headlamp bulbs? And what is the cost?

I found my right side headlamp not working last night, I switched the fuse around the left & right side one but its no use (fuse is not blown, works on the left side.)

Thanks in advance!

Many thanks bro,

Darn 400 bucks is not cheap but you are right, it is safety issue so cannot skim on that.

I will be looking around that area in the afternoon.

Cheers

please get your headlights aligned properly after HID conversion. Irritates and blinds people when not done.

Thanks

Google isn't helping me to locate Philips HID bulb retailers in SGP.

Checking their international site quotes each bulb at around 70 USD (hence 400 sounds like an awful amount of markup... "chop carrot head" [laugh] )

I may go down to Autobacs to if they have it (also the upper price limit ^_^ ) before I head down to hunt at Thompson.

Cheers

If you want to buy a cheap one, and the quality is not bad. I can recommend you buy a Chinese production, you know China is a huge producer. You can search at www.leddoes.com, if you are not afraid of the far.

Dear All,

Thank you for your advices & offers. Due to the urgency & safety factor, I have purchased a pair of Philips 4300K hid bulbs. They really did cost a whooping 400 + sgd.

Installation was handled painlessly by my usual workshop and I can see where I am driving at night now.

Word of caution to anyone contemplating white or blue HID bulbs, I was strongly advised against getting anything above 5000k on the color temp else expect trouble from the LTA.

The sales assistant at autobacs ubi advised me correctly, but the guy at bt batok wanted to sell me 6000k bulbs, claiming they are perfectly LTA compliant. Buyers, be careful.

Cheers!

In my opinion best thing what you could do is check some company on-line. You will surely find good companies around your area . With many option you could also check for minimum rates.
