Quite a few dishes I love till today, all are simple but tasty home-cooked food, and not easy to find nowadays.

One of them is a soup cooked inside a winter melon with small pieces of pork etc. Another:- pork legs in sweet black vinegar (still can find it if I search hard) [:)]

Is the restaurant at paragon?

I think I tried once few years back.

LOL, I am referring to my real/own mom's home cooking, not the restaurant with the name [:)]

Btw, I did try the place you mentioned also.

Actually I dont like my mum's cooking and have not ate it since I was in poly and she was warded in SGH. Only dishes I missed were her super oily chicken soup and fried french beans with prawns.

Nowadays, she does not cook anymore and I tabao outside food for her.

My wife do not know how to cook but slowly she learnt from cookbook and CC. So far her fried small white vege in oyster sauce and onion fried scramble egg are good. She slowly improving on her ABC soup. I am the poor guinea pig. [laugh]

Sigh, my mum wasn't a good cook. That's the hard truth.

However, my aunt was an excellent cook. During Chinese festivities, she'd prepare her own steam chicken with ginger dip. Yummy!
