I am considering buying a 2nd hand 2007 Toyota Axio. Can exisiting owners advise if there is any major problem with the car, especially the CVT gearbox ? Thanks!

i love the car ...it is very reliable...do not worry about spareparts..it is easy to get..as there is a lot of axio on the road..

i drive my axio to genting every year...and there isn't any problems at all after 4 years...it is really worth the buy

For Toyota Axio, Allion and Premio make in 2008 to 2009, there is a recall list

on the CVT gear box with chassis number starting NZE.

 

This recall exercise is only available in Japan and almost all affected vehicles in Singapore

was not fixed or recall by local PI.

There are cases of Axio failed CVT in the Axio forum. It cost about 5k to repair.

Quite a number of parts are similar to Altis and Vios plus there are so many Axios running around so parts shldnt be a problem.

 

If you're getting one, better check if it's under the recall list.

Yes the current Axio exterior totally CMI. The saga looks better.

 

BUT

 

Quality of Axio cannot be compared to Saga at all. Worlds apart.

Saga's door is so damn light wonder if it's just an empty shell.

 

At times of high COE prices I wonder if anyone would get an Axio or a Saga.

the new axio is so ugly one would have thought the current one is the new one instead.
