Ungtiong 2nd Gear August 21, 2012 Share August 21, 2012 (edited) recently bought a OBDII bluetooth reader coupled with Torque on my Samsung S2 was able to get the ECU reading off the car.- Mass Air Flow Sensor.... the difference between the stock filter and Stainless Steel filter is a lot. At lower speeds its 2x more and at higher speed, the readings can be 3 times more.- A/F ratio... The OBDII sensor can read actual (from O2 sensor feedback) and commanded A/F ratio...with the stock filter, the actual is very close to the commanded even at higher speeds, but with the S/S filter when accelerating at higher speeds, the actual ratio can jump to 18:1. Normal driving air fuel ratio close to 14.7:1. Does it mean the mixture is very lean and the ECU is unable to adjust the fuel flow to match the air intake fast enough?- throttle position max is 80% with pedal to the floor is this actually 80% or just reader not calibrated properly?- intake air temperature is quite low at 40 during morning and low to mid 30s at night. Not sure if a CAI will make a big difference is driving at night or morning only.- Voltage readings remains very stable, almost no fluctuations at all (unless unable to pick up the spikes)Just checking, how much power does the OBD sensor take (will it drain the battery as it is using bluetooth), cause my ECU port a bit loose liao, removing it and putting back all the time. thinking just leave it there. The engine controls are adjusted/calibrated to respond as per the stock filter. Since the SS filter flow rate is higher, the response of control will appear slower during acceleration. Yes, OBD sensor will drain the battery, a bit slowly than your ICE.
