Why our ministars for education - and there are two ! - quiet like mice ??

 

This is clearly a case where they have to defend the school's action, or else the whole system and their ministry by extension will be put to ridicule.

 

What's there to defend? It's a small case leh. Plus the judge already ruled against the parent.

 

BTW, I did not understand if the parent sued the principal directly (as an individual) or the principal as a proxy for the sch?

i thought got law say cannot sue civil servants.

 

that time the case of the soldier died the parents wanted to sue the OC and PC the court ruled no go.

Now becos of the this case " the whole market" kenna spoil , some schools or teachers which were giving chance one also NOW   "on the Bola" now waiting to catch any just like LTA traffic wardens

I'd have gone to some school that believes it is a hope for a better age but my parents were worried I'd get expelled for being anti-establishment so I went to a school for rebels.

Its different..  its not cannot sue... it was no criminal actions can be taken against the officers..  they were discharging their duties...  

 

iirc the two officers were successfully court martialed (the punishment dealt to them is another matter)

 

similarly.. the case was brought against the school over the rules...  judge told lawyer to bugger off...

Three of my cousins were from ACS(B) leh. Not too bad, looking at where they are now. Doctor, Lawyer(general counsel) and Pilot.
