White Paint on Road!!

Anyone got white paint on their cars when driving this morning or yesterday evening? I need to know where so maybe got chance to claim $$ from LTA if it's their contractors' fault.

Suspected route - Jurong => PIE (towards Airport) => Lornie Road => Braddell Road => Bartley Road (flyover) => Tampines.

I saw white paint on my tyres, mostly on the left wheel fenders, and bits on the body this morning upon reaching the office carpark. I don't recall seeing any paint on road and I don't even know if it happened this morning or yesterday.

Guess i can only suck thumb.... [bigcry]

are you referring to the "paint" that appears on the side skirts and looks like its shooting up from the front wheel? i think that might be cement bro .. i kena a few times .. wash can already ...

anyway, with no video proof that the paint was wet, that there was no signage warning of it, unlikely you will succeed to claim ... (even if its their fault)

Felt like paint. I thought Cement is grey colour? Actually I went to car wash this morning, I might got it somewhere after the car wash if that's the case.

Let me try tonight.

I kenna before.

My route is Lornie -> Pie -> jurong town hall.

And the good thing is the paint is not oil-based. I just used water to wash it out. But it take me at 3hour to wash off .

No need to buy from them. It's turpentine in disguise.

If you're sure it's paint, then it must be some mudderfarker LTA contractor paint road markings without cordoning off the area and not ensuring the paint dries before demob.

just buy any cheap car wax from supermarket.

Try rubbing the wax (hard) with a piece of cloth on the affected area. The road paint should be gone.

Claybar will be the easiest to remove. Send to any detailing shop and they'll do the same.

When you use polish/compound or cleaner wax, you are also removing part of the clearcoat around the affected area.
