Didn't noticed this thread until now...

I have been flying Scoot for a fair bit of trips within Asia and among the budget airlines, I think I like Scoot the best. Never had any major problems with Scoot. My negative experiences were entrenched in AirAsia and Jetstar mostly. Jetstar ranked as the worst experience in my flying.

I always pay extra to fly Scoot-in-Silence.

Arrived 35mins ahead of schedule. Sian. Now sit around the airport to pass time. The pilot why drive the plane so fast one.

Different airlines plan out estimated time differently. For Emirates, the estimated travel time does not include taxi time while airlines like Singapore Airlines or affiliated companies like Scoot include taxi time as part of traveling time. This is why majority of Scoot/SQ/Silkair flights will arrive ahead of schedule.

In the case of Emirates - especially departing from Dubai, the airport is so huge that if there is a last-minute change in runway to take off, it can take up to 45mins-1hr just to taxi from one runway to another runway. Personal horrid experience from a buddy who is in the flight deck with SQ.

Turbocharged

It's OK I wrote to Thai Vietjet and asked them to fly to Singapore.

I hope they can compete with lower prices or same price less clothing.

Slim cut bikini also can.

:D

hmmmm good business model.... less clothes, no need on aircon so high... save fuel.... then passengers already full by looking at them... no need serve too much food....  though the toilet will need more cleaning, can be slippery...  :nosebleed:

Forgot to add on my experience. I used Scoot awhile back to repatriate my FDW. First and last time.

Numerous postponements, including a final one *after* she had already gone through customs (so no choice but to wait inside). Terrible communications throughout. Getting through to their hotline was a nightmare. Talking to their (Pinoy-sounding) staff when I finally got through was like getting my teeth pulled without anaesthesia.

Malindo Air has served me much better, and it's only a bit more expensive.

During web check in, is seat selection available FOC ?

Thanks.
