I always find it depressing whenever ppl go kit up their exotic rides just for that individual touch... But all it does is ruin the recipe. But that my opinion... I called to enquire about the gas struts for my hood . within 10 minutes i got a reply with the price, and the date available for the instalment. price $65 each. service schedule availability is 2 weeks later. Labor charge is $80+gst. ???!!!????!?!??!?!?!? After i told the tech that it is a 5 min job, he immediately said they would do it for me as long as i bring the car down. However i decided to just buy the parts for $135 and install it myself to save up the $80 "labor" cost. Time taken for me to replace both struts = less than 5 mins Tool require = one screwdriver Fairly good service but ridiculous pricing. Luckily I'm a super hands on guy who is good with such things. The difference between PML and BVO is nothing compared to the difference between SG and a third-party Porsche specialist (like Flat6). Yup Stuttgart labor charges are super cut throat. Parts cost a bit high but can accept. Flat6 is too busy and seems more skilled in 964s and 993s. Not that they cant do 996 or 997 but i think they are more old school kind.
