hi,

i noticed internal misting in one of my headlights after a heavy downpour. I checked the headlights. no sign of crack or damage.

I am afraid to disassemble the headlights to check in internal seals for fear that i may cause more damage as i am not a technical person.

is there any place anyone can recommend to fix this problem?

many thanks.

Did you change the bulbs to aftermarket ones? Try switching back to stock or original ones. Aftermarket bulbs might not have the same seal as the original ones.

To remove the condensation just unplug the bulbs thus leaving a big hole, on the engine and let the heat dry up the moisture.

Change headlight. It will come back no matter wat. I have this issue on my previous Lancer. I even ask technician to put silicon to seal up every possible area. Still no use. Change headlight resolve all issue.

What car u drive? BMW its a common problem.

Chk e venting hole not blocked or e rubber tube pointing down.

Just use as normal n e heat of main bulb wil dry it off. Or cud b when it cools it draw cool air in n moisture condense inside.

As long as cn use just use. Its not a serious problem.

Quick fix...pop the bonnet...remove the rubber backing and unplug the socket from the affected headlight...leave it overnight to let the headlight "breath"...the following day mist should be out...but not a permanent solution...either micro cracks or gaps in the headlight assy..

if you have changed bulb, old ring dont sit properly and during dowpour left over water under shelter not dry, condensation take place.
