Watched plenty of war movies, most famous of course was Black Hawk Down, with the ubiquitous Humvee (actual abbreviation is HMMWV for High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) seen all over the battlefield as the basic utility jeep for the US forces and then I saw this at a car park:

Sua ku never seen this HUMMER H3 before but know that it was made by the same company that churns out the Humvees.

From One Motoring website, read that this is a 3.653L monster jeep with a maximum laden weight of 2660 kg and unladen weight of 2231 kg.

A petrol guzzler yes?

Wonder what is its present OMV...

Turbocharged

test drove it back in 2009 when someone i knew was buying.

all i can say is .. its garbage. it has the worst interior ever (cheap plastic everywhere .. and looks very sparse as there's a radio, and the gear lever, nothing else). pickup felt worst than a van and the ride was extremely stiff. more like back breaking, sorry.

iirc, it was asking for about $150 or $180k for the base ver (but they had a super charged version as well for $10k more)

i saw one recently in sg roads. could be the same car.... i think it's pretty rare here.

about 20 around in 2009-2010 (not sure about now). one belongs to one of the local property developers. if im not mistaken, he has 24" rims on it as well.

Guess these type of petrol guzzlers very common on spacious USA streets but quite rare here in our little red dot.

Americans want everything BIG BIG, even their national debt also BIG BIG!!!

I dont think hummers are common there too. But I know trucks are. They are huge there. Love the Toyota Tundra.
