Super crowdes. Msian school hols has begun as well. Traffic is bad and Jonker Street is super packed

I can imagine the crowd at the Breakfast Buffet. We had breakfast when there was a huge group of S'pore Pri Sch kids. The whole place like school canteen. The breakfast quality as not very good.

I booked the premium deluxe, something like that. Hence had breakfast at the Sky Lounge. Even then, it was pretty packed.

I would stay clear of the place. Quite rundown. It's actually apartments converted into Hotel.

Very rundown and tap water is indeed yellowish. I have never stayed there before but my ex colleague did.

You have to cross the expressway in order to go to the mall or anywhere. Quite dangerous for old people.

If you are on budget, I can suggest Fenix, room quite clean and safe parking.

You can book 2 rooms at Hatten or Equatorial and ask for connecting room, then can open the doors between rooms.

Ya. You have to pass your car key to the staff and they will shift and park the car to you. They will pass you a car tag. You use the car tag to exchange for your car key when you need the car.

Cos they need your car key to shift and re arrange the cars in their car park. Their car park is within the Fenix hotel compound. Only the staff are able to shift the car. They will drive out your car.

I have stayed there many times liao. Cross the street will be Palawan shopping mall. But the room inside no fridge.

I always ask for new wing although the new wing rooms are smaller.

You can refer to the review here:

If you really want to stay in that area, maybe to have a seaview or quieter surround.... then you can choose Holiday Inn, which is just beside. I heard is not bad too.

But seriously I would avoid that area due to a highway in front, which is dangerous to cross over to the Mahkota Parade/Palwan shopping areas....

Oh I see...so its a valet park system.

Around Fenix Inn also has a Ah Hui but kut teh, and many foot massages centres.

think the property originally only have hotel and apartment, when some of the apartment become vacant (not sold or owner didn't stay there), they convert them to service apartment, many apartment/condo units in malacca convert into temp guest house.
