But of cos the theive can delete n u have to download many times. [:p]

Even restarted phone can download tracking fr you desktop. [blush]

some apps might if you know what you are looking for.

Which apps? Haven't found any app that can yet. I just want to track my phone after I lose it. Most can't work once remove SIM card and hard reset plus log in with different google account.

Will it work if the thief removed the SIM card?

1st ly you have to connect your phone to google play.

It will then recognise your phone, not your SIM card.

Yes it will work. -_-

guys,

in the case of a SIM change.

it will only work when the lost phone connects to the www via wifi or 3G/4G.

If it stays offline, even pre-installed software will not work. just tested this recently, wif my own phone(not lost).

wavesecure claims to be able to stay resident in a rooted phone after hard reset.

Also not working. Just tested on my S3. The person with the phone can just change the settings or remove it easily. Got anyway to add password or something to prevent others from changing the settings?

for my tab, my device need to "Sync" with my samsung account in order for the samsung app to connect into the device to track/delete etc.....ya i guess the first defense is to passwrd lock the device to prevent the thief from deleting the samsung account from the device, otherwise a hard reset will delete all apps.
