Converting normal to opc and then back to normal again

Dear all, I will be stationed overseas for 2 - 3 years. Thinking of converting my normal plate to opc and then converting back to normal again when I'm back. Is this feasible? What are the implications? During my absence, car will only be utilised during the opc time frame.Any kind souls who can advise will be very much appreciated

after you convert to opc and back to normal, you can't convert to opc again in the future I think, just one time only

I will prefer to stick to it whatever it is if the road tax is not very expensive. the procedures is very troublesome.

2-3 year you get to collect $1100 per years and save on road tax probably $50.

 

but the hassle of paper work and fee, is it worth the saving of $2-3K? and the inconvenience on usage of the car (when you are back for holiday).
