Europol said the joint investigation had also identified about 425 corrupt officials, players and serious criminals in 15 countries.

The 380 matches included fixtures from World Cup and European Championship qualifying games, Champions League ties and top-flight league matches in several European countries.

Speaking in The Hague on Monday, Europol director Rob Wainwright said the investigation uncovered "match-fixing activity on a scale we have not seen before".

680 matches, that is a lot!

I am actually surprised the very first match they mentioned...happens in England?

.....do those bookies have something against Liverpool? (for breaking their rice bowls by NOT allowing them to fix matches)

Someone my group used to know, well educated, holding respectable position here, definitely intelligent, flew to UK very often to "watch" soccer matches. The bookies there knew he was in town whenever he went there, but not sure uk bookies happy he was there or not. Not sure also why he must go personally?
