when it rains water will accumulate into my rear brake light

Take out reseal with silicon, else drill a tiny hole at the most bottom part where it's not obvious.

problem is i don't know where the leak is coming from

would a small hole remove vapour too?

3 option here.

1. change a new tail lamp.

2. Reseal the tail lamp.

3. Drill hole to release water.

But this wouldn't work if it is water vapour. Water vapour is normal. Even my headlight, during damn cooling days will have vapour after switching on for long hours.

Last month my front headlight also encountered same problem...I got it replaced too...so far so gd....Total damaged $200+ for front X1 n rear X1 ....

if bought from local distributor i suspect will be over $300 easily

You could try this on a Sunday afternoon. Remove tail lamp assembly and clean it well. Inspect for any damages, leaks and the rubber washers which secure the lens to the base of the assembly. Ensure it
