Feel like buying a keyboard to learn at home.

Any advise on where I can buy one? I only know brands like Yamaha and Roland. Any other brand recommendation? I I'm not looking for high end type.

I don't mind 2nd hand one. Must be in good condition.

What do you have in mind? If you no idea I suggest you try out as many as you can to see what you want first before buying.

They are synthesizers and there are keyboards that mimic the piano but take up less space.

The feel and sound differs a lot. The weight of the keys on synthesizers are very light and plasticky. It good to get pair of headphones too so that your neighbours will have some peace. :D

Shop around first, see what you fancy and work out a budget.

I think Peace Centre got a few shops. Long time never been there. CityMusic.... got website citymusic.com.sg

Yamaha at Plaza Sing usually quite ex unless they have sale. Their students usually have more discount. Maybe you can sign up their lessons for adults and get additional discount?

Check online and look at reviews first. I bought one for my son from Luther Music at Excelsior Shopping Centre, next to Funan. Knowledgeable staff and decent pricing.

City Music at Peace Center

Luthermusic.com

Swee Lee at Sim Ave

Sinamex at Peace Center basement.

These are the reputable shops you can go and visit.

Casio is consider quite good if you want entry. Go for Privia, alternatively, you may want to go and check out Yamaha.

Go for those with 88 keys instead.

You may want to check out soft website forum for 2nd hand keyboards.

I wanted to sell off my Yamaha synth CS6X.
