Rogersk8ter 1st Gear April 8, 2013 Share April 8, 2013 What is the lifespan of an engine mount? Replace them 4 years ago and now starting to give me knocking sound again! base on my last experience, once it started knocking, within 6 mth, it will be very bad and need replacement. but car left 2 years, so how to "tong" till scrap? any temp measures? ↡ Advertisement

TVT Supercharged April 8, 2013 Share April 8, 2013 2 years still OK lah. Just change them and drive peacefully for another 2 years. It should be even more worth it if you drive your car everyday and over long distances.

TyreShield 1st Gear January 10, 2015 Share January 10, 2015 mostly solved or greatly reduced by regularly adding engine protector additives such as "Power Up". Cheers

TyreShield 1st Gear January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 Hi Buddies ! Before you go that extra mile to "stabilize" your engine. You may want to stabilize the internals. I tried Power Up Engine Treatment Additive on my Chevrolet Optra SS and Peugeot 206cc and am amazed with the results. Much of the vibrations reduced. Yes changing EM will help, but if too much friction within the engine, the vibrations will recur in no time ! PM me if you need to know where to get Power Up Engine Treatment Additive. Cheers ! TyreShield 1st Gear January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 (edited) What has engine addictive got to do with engine mount? Are you advertising for your own product ? Its not addictive but an Engine additive, I am a self taught car enthusiast. and am sharing that which I have benefited from. Over time sediments in engine oil can create minute scratches in engine making the engine "noisier", and some of that again turning into other energy forms such as Vibrations, the noise/vibrations are created from added friction due to "loss of smoothness" in the moving parts which is inevitable. You can however still choose to change the Cylinders, Pistons, Connecting Rods and Crankshaft instead of using the Power Up. Whatever makes you happy. No harm sharing good products Bro. TyreShield 1st Gear January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 Can you give us bro here FREE sample to test on our cars..... In Singapore, how I wish parking was free, water to wash car at MSCP was free, as am paying $90 for each carpark lot / mth, Electricity and sanitation was free as am paying overseas bungalow prices for my HDB flat, and Road Tax was free as COE costs more than a Merc/BM in some countries, and hence I have to conclude (and you as well) nothing comes free ;-)
