Today suddenly spotted i got a big dent on one of my rims. sibey sian.

question is,

1) I never kena any kerb, so how does this dent comes about? strangely the damage is only on the rim, the tire side wall has no visible damage as all.

2) Is this repairable?

If you're very sure that you were the only one driving the car, and 100% sure you didnt kenna kerb at all, I can only surmise one possibility.

Someone was cycling right next to your car and the pedal knocked onto the rim. That's all I can think of ^_^

If yours is low profile tyre, 100% road pot hole is the culprit !

if pothole wont kena the tire sidewall? thats the puzzling thing...

Probably a supermarket trolley nicked it... more like a chipped off bit than dent.

i also think of something along that line but that will need alot of force to whack through to cause that chip off [sweatdrop]

it wasnt there when new, because i will know when washing the rims.

i just worry if it was damaged at the workshop when i left my car there for a couple of days for repair [lipsrsealed]

Got once my tyre punctured due to a nail and there's a small hole in the parking lot. Usually will do a visual check before moving off, but that morning was in a rush. The moment I moved off from the lot, the wheel went into the hole and my rim got a deep scratch from the concrete tiles but not a dent like TS's. Heart pain but moved on after a while la.
