2006 Mercedes C180 vs 2005 BMW 520 or 2006 Mercedes S280

My dad is looking at changing his car. All 3 options have roughly the same depreciation ($600+ for 2006 Mercedes C180, $700+ for 2005 BMW 520, $700+ for 2006 Mercedes S280). As they are all cheap options, he will pay in full. He wants a car with low depreciation and cheap, but he also wants to portray a not-so-poor Ah Pek image.

Be prepared for the maintenance cost.

By the way, early version of E60 520 is known for steering rack issue. The cost is close to 10k for replacement.

2005 BMW 520 has gearbox and steering rack issues

2006 Mercedes S280 has airmatic issues

Supercharged

those are totally different class of vehicles. u can't compare a c class to an s class. 520 shd be compared to e200.

the ride, equipment, comfort level r quite different.

imo. no offence.

If image is so important then get a new car,

no one will say he is poor.

How to pretend to be rich if can only

buy a second hard car?

The vain and image conscious always

have to spend more money than they really need to.

The kind of customer all salesmen love.

:D
