F355 Turbocharged November 26, 2014 Share November 26, 2014 Either the construction of the concrete barrier did not follow the blueprint ; or the engineer who designed it is a moron. 99.9% the former happened. The concrete barrier detached from the floor in a clean break. Not supposed to. The reinforcement bars in the barrier is supposed to be extended from the floor itself ; and from the pics it clearly showed it didn't. The contractor of this building has to take responsibility. This will not happen in Singapore. Since the incident at Cathay , where the barrier is brickwall instead of reinforced concrete , regulations has been passed to prevent a similar incident from happening. And our construction industry is much more regulated ; and almost corruption free.
