Voodooman Supersonic August 24, 2013 Share August 24, 2013 (edited) The eventual outcome is exactly what my Malaysian friend predicted before the trial. There are reasonable doubts to free the 2 as why would 2 police officers (with no motivation) in Malaysia go around blowing up a pretty face using explosives when just a small bullet would do the job, nice and clean. Highly suspicious.... Edited August 24, 2013 by Voodooman ↡ Advertisement

Highly suspicious.... Ya problem is so many police why arrested this 2? Why scare people recognize the victim until have to use explosive? Where the explosive come from? Anyway the case will close unless opposition win the next election.....but a lot of evidence will be "missing" at that time...
Aukang 6th Gear August 24, 2013 Share August 24, 2013 we need to put everything in proper perspective Well said, except the topic is about Msia's legal system. No offence and nothing personal, but if you really want to compare like for like, don't brijng in the prisons death case because it is totally a different issue and while it was similarly a death, the circumstances and the resulting outcomes and punishment are different. OT a bit, since u have been to Msia many times, I'm curious to know how many times you have been stopped for speeding and what kind of fines u paid. RadX Moderator January 13, 2015 Share January 13, 2015 Orbi good!!! Two Malaysian police special action unit (UTK) personnel will face the death sentence for the murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu. PHOTOS An undated passport photograph shows Altantuya Shaariibuu. (AFP PHOTO/HO) ENLARGE CAPTION PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia's highest court on Tuesday (Jan 13) upheld death sentences for two police officers convicted of murder in a sensational scandal linked to allegations of high-level corruption that shook the long-ruling regime. Azilah Hadri and Sirul Azhar Umar had been convicted of the 2006 killing of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu, a 28-year-old model and interpreter. Government critics have long alleged that the two men, members of an elite unit that guards top ministers, were scapegoats in the killing of Altantuya, who was at the centre of allegations of massive kickbacks in the US$1.1 billion 2002 purchase of French Scorpene submarines. The remains of Altantuya, who was involved in negotiations for the submarines, were found in a jungle clearing near the capital Kuala Lumpur after apparently being shot and her corpse blown up with military-grade explosives. Adding to the intrigue, she was a lover of Abdul Razak Baginda - the man in charge of purchasing the submarines and a close associate of current Prime Minister Najib Razak, who was defence minister at the time of the deal. Allegations have simmered for years that Altantuya was murdered to keep her quiet about purported kickbacks to high-level Malaysian officials. Malaysia's government has long refused calls for a wide-ranging inquiry. Both of the accused deny killing Altantuya, and Sirul has previously alleged that he was being "sacrificed" to protect others. The Federal Court panel said Tuesday the two officers had both separately led investigators to the site where the body was found, which "strengthened the case" against them. A shocked-looking Azilah was led out of the courtroom Tuesday after the decision. Sirul, however, was not present and his defence team told the court they did not know of his whereabouts. They were convicted in 2009 and sentenced to hang, but released when an appeals court overturned the conviction in 2013 after raising questions about how their trial was conducted. The case centres on allegations French submarine maker DCNS paid commissions of more than 114 million euros (US$142 million) to a shell company linked to Abdul Razak Baginda. Malaysia's opposition claims these were kickbacks to top officials. French judicial officials, acting on a request by Malaysian human rights group Suaram, opened an investigation in 2010 into the sale. The inquiry is ongoing. - AFP/xq

Karu 6th Gear January 14, 2015 Share January 14, 2015 (edited) Now I hear the victim family will go ahead with civil suit against M'sia Govt. So what's motivating the court to overturn the acquittal? Now with the 2 found guilty, isn't it more likely that the govt is responsible to some extent? Another theory is that they'll on be executed on paper. They'll be sent far away with new identities... Legal eagles come & advise.... Edited January 14, 2015 by Karu
Kklim Supercharged January 14, 2015 Share January 14, 2015 How come the two men also hooded so nobody can see their faces? Most likely the court process is just a show. At the end of the day they'd probably pick up two homeless men, drug them, and hang them while these two are given new IDs and money to live comfortable lives somewhere else.

Picnic06-Biante15 Supersonic June 17, 2015 Share June 17, 2015 Another attemp killing of a Datuk but Mongolian woman kena.......... Yahoo news: Cops say Mongolian’s boyfriend target of hitmen in Bandar Utama shooting PETALING JAYA, June 17 — The Mongolian woman who was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Bandar Utama on Monday was not the target. The bullets were meant for her 35-year-old boyfriend from Sarawak, a Datuk, who is believed to have past connections to a gang, police said yesterday. Selangor police chief Datuk Abdul Samah Mat said initial investigations revealed the the businessman from Sibu had been involved in a unsettled feud. “There was a spat between the businessman and a brother of a gang member over a business deal that turned sour,” he said. He said it was not the first time the businessman had been involved in a shooting. “In October last year, an unknown assailant opened fire at his home in Sibu,” he said. “He has also received several threats over the phone.” Abdul Samah said Sibu police were assisting in the investigations. “We are liaising with them to locate the brother who we believe could be involved in the shooting,” he said. Based on statements recorded, the businessman had known the Mongolian woman, identified as Nomin Erdene, for a year. “They met through the social media application WeChat. Checks showed the woman had entered Malaysia on a social visa,” he said. “We are checking with the Immigration Department to determine the date she entered Malaysia.” Abdul Samah said the businessman had gone to 1Utama to pick up the woman and was heading for Damansara to pick up his child from school. The shooting happened when the businessman, who was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser, stopped his vehicle to answer a call after pulling out of the mall. Two men appeared on a motorcycle and started firing at the woman who was in the front passenger seat. They fired eight shots, four of which hit the woman. The businessman escaped unhurt. The woman was rushed to University Malaya Medical Centre. link: https://sg.news.yahoo.com/cops-mongolian-boyfriend-target-hitmen-bandar-utama-shooting-231400972.html Mongolian women and MY doesn't gel well ........ either bomb or kena shoot
