Not everything govt say is right one... we the people hv the final say on how we want to live, not told by them how to live... Whether the people support GST or not is one thing, to implement it fairly is another. It is only right to implement it for self-importation during travel, or else it is not fair to businessmen who import goods for sale. Businessmen also fellow citizens, not right to victimize them. Watwheels Supersonic August 24, 2013 Share August 24, 2013 The thing is when I go overseas shopping like clothes I would take out the price tags & packaging and just pack them in my luggage. How are they going to know what I buy? I usually take a photo of my receipts and throw them away before I leave for the airport. For ppl like me it's difficult for them to track. LoL... IMO this is targeted at ppl who bring in goods from overseas to sell whereby they bring it in bulk and it's very obvious. It make sense for these ppl to be charge GST just like any goods that reaches our shores at customs.

I as a consumer will look out for my own best interest, not to enrich the bizmen.. If I can source for my own needs at a cheaper price, I will not give the profits to others.. essence of doing business no? Doing business and being a citizen don't have same rights.. Whether the bizman can recover these costs is another matter... For my personal use I will siam wherever I can, no point give money to others unnecessarily.. Vid Hypersonic August 24, 2013 Share August 24, 2013 Custom hardly enforce the rule unless you really bought a lot of things. It is difficult for them to ascertain the actual amount you spent.

Skunk Clutched August 24, 2013 Share August 24, 2013 Well then, they are not as victimize as you claim them to be . Laws have to be applied fairly, not some groups subject to it and some groups not, that's my point. ↡ Advertisement
