Pictures look so US of A. Looking at their own homes no wonder they want to commit crimes and stay in jail. Prison is indeed better dan their own homes and nursing homes.

You can't sweep it up with your statement.

Studies have shown that the recurrent rate of ex-prisoners committing crime is far lower in countries such as Norway : where they rehabilitate instead of "annihilate"

hmmmmm........... sent them out to other European countries to work for 20 yrs and than return to retire. Sure recurrent rates low in one country but up in others .... [:p]

Actually I'm talking about the pic on the first post showing the typical US prison officer and nurse. And we dun call it nursing homes here.

Norway can do it maybe coz their population(5 mil) is small as compared to US.

Heard rumours in the late 70's & 80's that most of the construction workers were from either Thailand or S. Korea. They are criminals (not those hard core criminals) who are sentenced to hard labour...... [lipsrsealed]

Thats where in 1985 New Year's day, there are riots between Thai workers and South Korean workers at 2 construction sites, Eunos and Yishun.
