French Sounding Business Names

Can anyone explain the popularity of French sounding names for small businesses like hair salons. I just saw this one in Toa Payoh: COZY DE BEAUTY. I don't even want to ask what it means...

 

Then in Balestier, we have HAIR FIGURE DE SALON.

People will buy condos and condoms if it's named Condo de Banane la Jambe, but will never buy when it's named Keng Jio Kar Condo.

The french word ''de'' can means: of, from, for, to, by, with, at, out of, off, than.....So for example....Cozy de beauty could means....Cozy of beauty or even cozy with beauty and etc....Any french language expert here can further explain?
