Watwheels Supersonic November 25, 2013 Share November 25, 2013 This one involved kickbacks so it should be reported to CPIB If involve them they will check on everybody in the company to make sure and it's very disruptive to the company. I dun think the boss will want this option. Moreover MOM will not be notified. MOM checks are quite lax coz too many foreigners to check on. Those criminals will be able to enter sgp and continue work. If straight away they are blacklisted by MOM they want to enter it will be tough unless they change their identity. ↡ Advertisement
ChickenMob 6th Gear November 25, 2013 Share November 25, 2013 its not a crime lah no need to go jail one. At most fine the company. I think consider if its only a crime if the boss decided to report it, but usually boss will ask them to leave immediately as the company do not usually want to be in the limelight for the wrong reasons. anyway its open in the market that FW or FTs are bringing in their own people, a big company I work for had a AT operations manager from Fujian, the next time I know is all the ATs recruited came from the same province, not just one or two but at least about 15-20 of them. Jeffc 5th Gear November 25, 2013 Share November 25, 2013 How prevalent this is, only these involved would know. I'm sure this is not limited to this case alone. There is probably a sea of "corruption" to hire FTs own people yet undiscovered, thanks to gahmen open-leg policy. Looking back, when I was working in MNC looking to hire some engineers, all I got from HR are a few woefully unqualified locals, the rest are FT. I wonder why ? So now you know why? Darryn Turbocharged November 25, 2013 Share November 25, 2013 Yeah... And we all know that Singaporeans never practise nepotism, and never take kickbacks or bribes. Anybody caught behaving this way should be reported to police. I have noticed that nowadays sure to find foreigners in HR function, not say only pinoy but also other nationality. What's wrong with foreigners working in HR? Yep - can see that there are some dishonest folk - but since when is HR so sensitive as to be restricted to Singaporean only - if like that I seriously faint
Kb27 Supersonic November 25, 2013 Share November 25, 2013 So now you know why? When I first join that MNC 17 yrs ago, IT was all local. By the time I left IT was all from India. I couldn't believe when I step onto that floor where IT is to sign off clearance. I supposed no locals want a job in an MNC IT.

So i guess now even HR job can also find traces of foreigners?! But if they are professional enough, foreigners sure can work in HR, but many times i really wonder how professional are these people?! Just like this case. Now i know how come people always complaint how come no locals apply for a particular job?! ChickenMob 6th Gear November 25, 2013 Share November 25, 2013 But sometimes we think back, we locals also hiam dang hiam si......most of the fast food outlets are also filled with foreigners as most of us do not want to work there. just hope that our gov will preserve the better jobs for the locals, improve on the mentality when people complain about the FTs is the jobs that's that Singaporean can do and wanna do.....not disturb those construction/ shipyards and hawker centre type industries.
