there are 'easier' ways to go. Why traumatise the neighbours, the responders, the cleaners by smearing brain and blood on the pavement?

maybe you should go his funeral and ask him?

True.

The $100 will only stop non gamblers like us from entering.

It will never stop those gamblers from going. To them what is $100. They believe that they could win back the $100 anytime. But sadly.... most dun.

the $100 is to prevent those on the fence from going as well as people that do not gamble to not start

for the habitual gamblers, casino or no casino no difference.... there is 10001 ways to gamble...

for me ... I am cheap skate ... so I am too shy to start gambling ...

I see ppl play $100 - 1000 - 10000 ...

I only play  $1 to $10 ... :XD:  :XD: so I can only play against the one armed bandit !

Received from WhatsApp. Not sure when or where. But this fellow determined to end his/her life even with airbag deployed.

Its a video but I just screenshot and put it here as file size too large.

I also got this vid from my wife ... and saw the determination of the jumper ...

anyway, looking back, I was thinking how we could improvise the airbag to give it more mobility just in case there are other determined jumpers also, so the airbag can be  moved around more easily and faster.

i didn't see the video, how long it took the man to hesitate before he jump?

The window were probably locked and SCDF has no chance to get to the far side to stop him and corner him to the edge where he has no choice but landed on the airbag.

It was a one minute video clip. I don't know how long he had been on the ledge though... 10mb.

WHY??

Good chance it's depression? But without knowing the full facts, it's difficult - and maybe not appropriate - to speculate...

this topic is really ... depressing.

Just yesterday a colleague said she has an old classmate who has been working in China, single, doing decently ok, had a mini stroke recently, and so was thinking/going to retire early and come back SG... But suspect he's depressed, and also jumped...

That sound of the impact. Something that one will not forget... :TT_TT:

Ya true.  Very loud.  I will never forget the "sound" I heard when I was 6 or 7 years old.  I heard not 1 but 3 sound!  3 bodies!

My family were walking along the void deck under a flat in AMK.  We heard a loud thud and saw a body at opposite block, then followed by another loud thud and another body and lastly another loud thud and another body!  The father threw the 2 kids (boys if I am not wrong) down and he jumped down!  I was so scared that time!

An old man walked passed and shifted one body (by pulling his hands) to one side as his body or head landed on the pipe below.

I'll never forget the scenario.

One of the blocks opposite the Esso station........crowd had gathered but the block was already cordon off when we reached.......think it was family problem.

Some choose to forget it by not talking about it only to be haunted in later part of their lives. It’s good that you guys can openly talks about it and negate any subconscious negativite impact.

Let more positive chi and memories to bury it instead.

Peace to all and R.I.P. to the deceased.
