Hyundai Sonata (2015)

Hope it comes soon and Hyundai can concentrate on selling the i40 saloons to ComfortDelgro and leave this model alone from the taxi fleet. Engine choices here will be interesting, likely we'll see the 2.0 Nu and 2.4 Theta engines as found in the Optima in this car, for some reason aside from the Veloster Turbo, all Hyundai models here are devoid of the more modern GDi engines here, still stubbornly stuck to the older MPI units.

Blame the AD.

Us version so fsr.

2.4 theta cc

2.0turbo

1.6 eco.

All reviews points to a very positive ride and quality

Guess only the 2.4 will come to SG. If not a NA 2litre.

Think the Sante here is GDI, comp at 11.3.

As for Elantra the GDI is 136 or 138hp, fail the 130hp cap.

omv, omv, omv.......is the way...... [nod]

Wonder when would this model arrive? Any bro/sis checked with any SE from Hyundai?

I see long ago Msia already got the new model Elantra n I think we still dun have. [confused]

Seems like now Msia market is bigger n more important to those Korean brands?

But I think Hyundai n Kia even overstate their HP ratings?

Seems their engines got more power than the Jap counterparts?

Maybe marketing gimmick?

So now if they claim the HP at 138 but when its Dyno tested n only shows <130HP, very malu. [blush][blush][blush]

the elan in Sg is only the MPI version at 130hp due to this reason.

Such a waste. The 1.6 GDI actually makes nearly the same power/torque as the 1.8 MPI. But the GDI would need 98 with 95 as the min i believe.

Doubt the MPI 130 & GDI 138 should not be a gimm as the figures are for the international mart (taken at the crank). If lta's toy is based at the wheels dunno how they gonna compare.

The midsize saloon most value is the teana currently.

Mazda not bad but full specs best go for 2.5... but lose to teana in space n interior quality.

Lets see how sonata fares in singapore.

Most usa automobiles sites reviews give this ride a very good rating

The Koreans are really improving..fast..

Totally agree, Hyundai really improve a lot.

Used to own a Tucson which last me for more than 8 yrs before I trade in to another car.
