i heard from my mom that chia seeds work better if its puffed up (after soaking in water) and if u eat it in its original state, u will probably pass them out in the system and not get the nutrients.

is that true?

Not the same as Chia seeds but if I get clogged up or feel I'm going to be then a couple of teaspoons of Psyillium seed in a glass of water sorts me out although daily bowl of Sultana Bran and milk works fine.

I used to buy from Qoo10 and you probably can't get it cheaper anywhere - 1.5kg at $13.90.

What are these seeds supposed to do? Looks like something I would feed a pet bird  [lipsrsealed]

Any reviews on how chia seed has improved your lives or not because I only see people sharing where to buy the seeds.

I actually only heard of this because my daughter's baby food has it!

Was introduced to chia seeds some years back as it can help lower cholesterol. In conjunction with a sensible diet, of course.

Tried mixing it with rolled oats but did not like the taste in cooked form.

So now I just sprinkle the seeds onto my milk and cereal supper.

It's supposedly a superfood. high fibre, dense in minerals.

I guess it's harder to digest, makes u more full and hence a good way of feeling sated while on a diet.

honestly, I don't see why not.

my personal preference is to consume it before it expands.

so if you want to sprinkle into coffee, maybe do it when you are just about to consume the coffee. otherwise wait your coffee niam niam.
