Advice needed on exhaust summon

My exhaust is original, bought from AD. But later I found the joint from tail pipe to muffler has some welding marks. AD mechanic told me "all come like that one". The muffler also has a sticker which states it is a genuine part (with a part#). I also have the invoice from AD.

 

Can I pass the inspection?

 

 

I believe any welding marks after the exhaust box will be ok. They are only concern with welding marks before the exhaust box. So if you are gonna weld a tip, its fine.

Cos from naked eye say illegal exos is not so easy unless your exos is like those a whole Cat can go in !!!

How come if no loud sound and look like original will kena lta stop? They got eagle eyes? Or their sense of smell very good.

They are very smart now,my 2004 Yamaha RX-Z,exhaust got fine for changing a original exhaust meant for older model,$500.00.

Mine got weld and just passed last month also. Something hit the box before the exhaust tip and made a hole. The workshop patched the hole and passed inspection.

9 yrs old ride was damm low, hit a rock in jb that bend the mid pipe, lost power and noisy as the pipe was knocking on the undercarriage. During inspection this year march, enquired from a supervisor from the inspection centre recommended by my insurance agent to inspect my exhaust damage. Ive passed my inspection but he drove my car into another section to inspect and came back telling me to go bend it back and weld it if necessary BUT DO NOT REMOVE THE CAT and not to meddle with the extractor.

 

They do understand that old cars parts are not easily available even you have money to pay for it. Final word, not to lower my ride too much.
