Different lah. Jetta is base on the previous model Golf.

The build quality of the current Golf look and feel a lot better (premium).

I dunno

Jetta is Mexico, and Golf is from Germany?

Tons of problems with the golfs and jettas in China.. Just google it. They're asking if VW is "wu chi" or "wu neng", meaning either they're shameless in selling poor quality cars or they simply dont have the competence to increase QC.

Most, if not all, VW vehicles in China are locally built and assembled.

As long as VW is using 7DSG ... I would avoid VW. No time to go workshop to fix gearbox issue although it is free in warranty but after warranty die.

I second this.

because asia and especially east asia, fuel and road tax expensive, but conti cars almost all c/w TC, so whoever wnat to enjoy high power in small engine, choose conti cars with TC,

but I heard feedback from China, many consumers complain conti TC car burnning engine oil and reliability far behind Jap cars, additionally as the traffic jam worse and worse, TC cars no advantage compare to NA during jam, frequently TC cut in/out to cause car jerking, passengers uncomfortable,

so a lot of buyers switched to Jap NA from conti TC , :D
