my vehicle was direct front to back hit by a Msia Vehicle 6 mths ago...

Police & orange Force arrived ( i am on ntuc insurance) , & i went to do a 3rd party claim

one of ntuc authorized workshop say they will do the claim for me & proceed to do the repair work for me..

Now they called me saying they cannot find the msia insurance company & want me to do the following

1) Find the msia driver myself & take the money from them

2) Pay for my own damages for the repair which they had already completed.

3) Claim my own insurances.

is it the right way to do it ?

no. workshop cannot start work unless the other party admit fault or you are willing to pay out of your own pocket.

They make you sign a letter saying that failure to claim, they will claim from you or your insurance right? That's the problem with small company. Authorized dealer don't even want to start repairing my car until the other party write a "go ahead" letter to allow them to proceed.

it is the workshop "tactic" to smoke you that they can do 3rd party claim over msia car. repair first. then say cannot claim and then claim your own insurance which normally all workshop would do including AD

That's weird. The workshop will usually be more anxious to confirm on who's paying for the repair than anyone, before they start to repair. I think there's a miscommunication somewhere. Care to share what's the cost of the repair? If the cost is less than or around your excess, then it only mean sense to pay out of your pocket. Finding back the msia car owner is like finding a needle in the ocean. Sorry to say until like that, but that's life.

Since they go ahead to repair without your authorisation just ignore all their calls unless you signed something that you don't know.
