the public carpark opposite Wheelock Place is going to be very packed..and the neighboring fringe roads are going to be very congested during the road closure hours

The pedestrians cross road like their grandfathers' road. The light turn red liao, they still stroll like leisurely ....

Why not just rename the road as 'YourGrandFather's' road!!! Everyone will have a sense of belonging / ownership!! What you own, you treasure and take good.

agree, not only Staurday, Orchard Road should be everyday closed for vehicles,

because Singaporean driving style very arrogant, they never willing to give way to pedestrinns,

many countries have walking Street in their cities, Singapore why don't have?
