SINGAPORE - The decomposed bodies of two men were found in a unit at The Bayshore condominium Wednesday morning, after neighbours complained of a foul smell.

 

The bodies of a 61-year-old man and a 40-year old man, believed to be father and son, were found on a sofa in the living room. A maid living in the condominium near East Coast Park told Chinese evening daily Shin Min Daily News that there had been a stench for the past week

 

. "Even though the windows were closed, the smell remained in the air," she said. Unable to tolerate the smell any more, neighbours complained to the condominium management, who called the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

 

The SCDF confirmed that they sent a Red Rhino vehicle and an ambulance after receiving a call for help at a building along Bayshore Road. A police spokesman said: "On arrival, two men were found motionless.

 

They were pronounced dead by paramedics on scene." The police have classified the deaths as unnatural and are investigating. -

Just outside the coffeeshop near my workplace this morning, someone died in the car, got police cordon the area.

Yesterday nite, got beer lady jump after quarrel with bf, family beat up the bf in public.

 

These days are dark. Not forgetting the roy and hhh saga..

They should look at the visitor's record for the past week and see if there are any visitors to that particular unit with the reason "To kill both father and son". Then see if they can trace the vehicle number from the car pass that was advised to park only at the yellow visitor's lot.

hahaha.....usually condo residents like to comprain wan even if it is just another condo in the suburb....park wrongly complain eventhough that lot is seldom used bcos its office hours.....a bit of noise (once in a blue moon party) also complain.

But seriously i have a neighbour (prc family) that smells really bad! A few times the ah pa took the lift with me i feel like throwing up.....morning afternoon nights....the smell is overpowering!

Visiting must also provide the block# and unit#, and the security uncle will call the resident.... if resident not at home the uncle won't let the visitor in. This is the procedure, for a condo with proper guard system.

I am a bit cynical today

I stopped subscribing to the Straits Times for about 6 months already. This is because, everyday, in the papers there are more bad news (robbery, killings, cheating, murders, wars and etc) than good news. It seems we live on bad news and we are going to get immune to these type of news sooner or later. We may eventually think it is the norm in the world. Starting a new day with all these bad news is really awful.

 

The world is getting very stressful. There must be a reason why people choose to end their lives in the face of difficulties. I asked, are the difficulties more difficult today than in the past? or are we left without or not enough society support (last time we got neighbours and neighbourhood to help), why is there such drastic action for our earthly problems.

 

I sometimes wondered is it worth dying for a noble cause, eg defending or conquering a country, many good men and women lost their lives in the process, but with time eventually, some countries eventually become friends again, then what did all those good men and women die for, there are many irrational deaths that occur in the world today

 

it seems we are hearing parents jumping with their kids from heights, parent and child suicide at home and etc. Do we really don't value life or is this route really is the only solution for them?

 

I am saddened by these events because I see people fighting with all their strength to live for one more day in hospitals and hospice care, and yet lives are lost tragically more by own design than by nature or accident.
