Hi Everyone,

I am driving a Sylphy 1.5 currently 6 yr old ride and mileage is 140K went for servicing and mechanic advice that this model after about 120K the radiator will leak and cause overheating problem. Currently my radiator is ok and would like to check if anyone has radiator problem after 120K mileage.

Please share if you know something.

Thanks.

My 8+yr old Sylphy's radiator broke down at around 100K mileage

u must breakdown and see the details.

dun bother what they check, cos its worth nothing.

what they replace is the key.

each servicing cost $352 .

say give u premium oil change about $100+-

air filter??

cabin filter??

cvt/atf??

spark plugs??

brake pads??

these are the most basic servicing replacement stuff.

but do they replace these parts every servicing???

(very hard to judge when didnt see the details )

Yeah.. I thinking go outside much cheaper, change some parts also not so ex.

Just go tc for major servicing.

what some of the guys i know do is,

they didnt buy any package.

but alway go back ad for basic servicing and checks.

(mean they replace oil and oil filter plus check only)

(to keep warrently intact stuf like that )

then any stuff after ad check and recommended to replace like brake disc rotor etc etc.

they will go outside source

On average, a 10k servicing for a 1.6L car is about $100 at outside workshop.

Some budget ones can be as low as $55 for a simple engine oil and filter change.

i dun know exactly how TC work.

but now the law is u dun need to service with AD  to have your warrently uphold by them.

so assume if your package already finish, why would u go back just for basic servicing?

if your car is quite new like 2-3 years u can request outside ws to use orginal parts for you, like orginal oil filter air filter cabin filter, even brake pads, if u do your math , u will see u can save ALOT.

the only issue is if u are a new driver, u need to have a trustable ws only
