F355 Turbocharged October 22, 2014 Share October 22, 2014 Frankly , I am a fan of the old type of battery . Can last more than 3 yrs , but most importantly is you will know when it is about to die ( your start up crank gets weaker ) and you replace it . Maintenance free one last 1 to 2 yrs normally , and it dies on you suddenly . Morning go work car cannot start . nowadays all come as maintenance free. top up batt water type is quite rare. probably not many shops have. Ya, and I wonder why battery water is still available at all petrol stations, minimarts and supermarts .
Kklee 6th Gear October 22, 2014 Author Share October 22, 2014 Yeah, they are rare indeed ! KL is too far for me. Perhaps they can be maintained thus longer lasting. It is easy to pop the filler caps an check the fluids for each cell. The one I had have thicker walls and more resilient to overcharging and thermal runaway.
