Where to check and top up aircon gas?

Can anyone tell me where I can check and top up air con gas for my car? Can I get it done at either Autoserve at SHELL or Autobacs at Bukit Batok? Cost?

 

Recently I top up gas for my house air con and it cost a bomb >$120!

Some of the things MUST be changed at regular intervals like oil, spark plugs, etc.

 

BUT, some of the things are best not to touch at all until there's a problem.

Agreed. And I got a problem to be checked! If not enough gas, has to top up.

gas never needs to be top up. if it needs, then there is a leak, topping up does NOT solve the problem, as it will still leak. TS can kiss his $120 bye bye. Unless he was conned, where there was never a need to top up in the first place.

There was indeed a leak in my house condenser.

House aircon and car aircon same. If need to top up means leak. Topping up only temp solution and you need to keep topping up at shorter intervals as time goes by.

 

Bite the bullet and get the leak fixed . For car usually AC compressor kaput .

Not always necessary is the aircon compressor spoil. It could be due to coil leak, fan, condenser choke, piping leake etc..
