Actually I think this explained in other threads, its does not increase horsepower, just for better throttle response. more for Auto car, its reduces the lag , but I feel that its a little rough IMO. a lot of brands in the market and you need to see which one is more suitable for car... The function is to control or "cheat" your throttle system in order to make your accelerate in fast respond or lag accelerate (ECO Mode). There are 3 type I can choice. ECO, HM, FM. (Scale from 1-9) I tried to drive in FM 9 (Full Manual), the accelerate is too fast and ofcoz it's quite dangerous to drive in City. Now I only drive HM9 (Half Manual). I bought it from China, around $180. And Install it by myself. It's a nice thing u should test it. Even Manual car also got such huge differences. Once the blade warp and got suck into the air filter box, CEL is guaranteed and your car locked at 20kmh all the way to workshop. This ECM thing is actually a throttle controller, not what crap "boost" controller the TS claimed. It doesn't make you car more powerful, it only controls your throttle to make butt feel better. There are many respected brands that are heat resistant and has failsafe circuit and a reverse gear cutoff. But chiong one usually is cheap hardware with chiong software hacked from other brands. Some chiong brand don't even cut off reverse gear and accidents can happen if not careful. These is a slight chance that the recent car fell from mscp recently while reversing is equipped with one. You see, this item is connect with the throttle pedal only, how can it possible to control the gearbox function? What I can say is, if you going to install those item which will only slightly increase your horsepower and with higher price, I would recommend you go for this item. This item can set to ECO Mode (fuel saving) if you in the heavy traffic conjunction or any mode you like whether you wanna to chiong or smooth drive. Surbo is the worst crap you can get for your car. However, It have a lot of differences. Example in ECO Mode, no matter how hard you put ur foot down, the pickup is really slow. I'm not even dare to choice full open mode "FM9" because the response is superb and too fast. The mechanic (After I install this item and show him whether my item was installed in the right way) who also install the same item did advised me don't too greed, FM6 is really enough for everyone. Manual car is still better because you the one control to shift the gear. Well, I'm here to share my experience toward this device, hence this is only my two cents. from what I know manual car does not need it, as you can control the clutch. auto car the feeling is more obvious................but usually lower pick up or heavier cars has better effect. Good Afternnon, Mine to share the brand? we might bought the same brand. between, what ride do you install with this throttle controller into? Had a throttle controller once but has thrown it away cos its giving me an error code which links to the throttle sensor.
