But this car will be much smaller than vezel for sure since its base on mz2 base...

not true that it will be small although its the based on mazda 2.

Vezel is based on honda fit too.

Have read the reviews for CX-3 on YouTube. Seems like the rear passenger headspace is a bit small. I guess. Boot spacer also looks a bit small. Personally, I still prefer the current Mazda 3 model.

Does anyone know when the CX-3 will be launched in Singapore? Already launched in Japan in Spring 2015.

We will most likely get a 2.0 liter petrol FWD model with 6 speed AT.

Just checked, the CX-3 has been launched in Malaysia. See attached spec sheet.

See previous spec sheet, the 0-100 km/h time is 8.7 seconds! Comparable to the Nissan Sylphy SSS 1.6 Turbo. And CX-3 only has a 2.0 liter NA engine. It will be a quick pick-up speed SUV. The model released in S'pore may not be that different, may have different options fitted.

The CX-3 received the red dot award for product design, see link here:

http://red-dot.de/pd/online-exhibition/work/?lang=en&code=27-05703-2015&y=2015&c=166&a=0

"The new Mazda CX-3 is a small SUV, which is characterised by powerful lines and striking proportions. The high cooler grill in combination with the concise LED headlamps emanates confidence. Distinctive features of the cabin are the black D-pillars and a wrap-around window effect, which generate the impression of motion and simultaneously enhance visibility. The new interior offers a comfortable and open atmosphere. The intuitive cockpit concept with head-up display and connectivity technology assures a high level of convenience and driving comfort.

Statement by the jury

This small SUV with its distinctive exterior indicates presence and gains merit in the interior with ample room and a user-friendly design."

The heavily anticipated Mazda CX-3 is expected to officially launch soon in Malaysia on December 08. This latest entrance CX3 is Mazda's answer against Ford EcoSport, Peugeot 2008 and Honda HR-V. The car has already proved itself as an ultimate compact crossover SUV in the European markets and over internet it has gone viral, like no other crossover is creating a buzz! Complete Image gallery for Mazda CX 3 can be seen here http://www.carbay.my/en/car-news/mazda-cx-3-image-gallery-21127823 to know more about what will be on offer from the Japanese auto-production house.

This car make Vezel look outdated

Vezel only? Looks are kinda subjective and it doesn't add extra bhp. But ppl here simply love the "H" badge. Plus ppl here also say "H" got good resale value. Hokay.

Vezel got hybrid option although must order thru PI. CX3 no have.

How about Nissan Qashqai, Renault Captur, Mitsubishi ASX, Nissan Juke, Subaru XV, Suzuki S-cross, Citroen Cactus, etc etc?

Premium crossovers dun say lah.

So many to choose from. Somehow I feel that ppl still go for badge rather dan the overall package the car offers. Yeah, the Mazda badge is nice. LoL...

i will choose Mazda 6AT over CVT  ...

having said that, CX-3 biggest issue is tight rear seat legroom and small cargo space compare with competitor same class

Just like mz3, best with 2.0 litre. Else cant meet 100hp per ton.

Singapore probably get 1.6 to fit with the other SUVs of same size.

will get same buyers who willing to pay premium for mazda zoom zoom design. as happen for mazda3.
