alphard96 6th Gear January 14, 2016 Share January 14, 2016 Not sure if C&C will entice existing E-Class owners into trading-in their cars for the in-coming model by offering a package deal. From experience - no. Price the same whether existing Merc owner or "new Merc owner". Also tend to stuck with the same SE (understand similar with lexus too) For trade in/overtrade - discovered the trade in car doesn matter, same discount/overtrade value, hence suggest worthwhile to trade in a "lousy/cheaper car" (for "good well maintained car", may get better price elsewhere)

Nonewposts 4th Gear January 17, 2016 Author Share January 17, 2016 Mercedes-Benz is taking a big step into the future with the new E-Class, bringing numerous technical innovations to its business saloon. Mercedes-Benz's 10th generation E-Class business saloon delivers stylish highlights with its distinct, emotive design and high-grade interior, as well as bringing numerous technical innovations, taking a big step into the future. The comfortable and luxuriously high-grade interior comes packed full with innovative technology and equipment The new E-Class is sophisticated, confidently stylish and sporty, growing 65mm at its wheelbase and 43mm in overall length. The elongated bonnet coupled with a coupe-esque roof flowing into a sensual, broad-shouldered tail end creates an exciting silhouette, displaying hallmark Mercedes-Benz saloon proportions. The interior of the new E-Class combines emotion and intelligence. The instrument cluster contains a large display with virtual instruments in the direct field of vision of the driver as well as a central display above the centre console. The driver can choose between three different styles to select their preferred design for the wide-screen instrument cluster: 'Classic', 'Sport' and 'Progressive'. In addition, touch-sensitive control buttons on the steering wheel make their first appearance in a car. Further controls for the infotainment system are provided with a touchpad controller in the centre console, which can even recognise handwriting, and the Linguatronic voice control system. A new, intelligent graphic design with high-resolution visualisations and animations, together with a simplified logic, further enhances this all-new operating experience. The high-grade interior also features open-pore woods, leather-covered doors and beltline, created with meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship. The new E-Class will come with a choice of two engines at market launch: the E200 with a four-cylinder petrol engine (184bhp) and the E220d with an all new four-cylinder diesel engine (195bhp). Further model variants will be added to the range after the market launch, including the E350e with a four-cylinder petrol engine (279bhp) featuring hybrid technology. The most powerful diesel variant will boast a six-cylinder engine (258bhp), while an E400 4MATIC will have a six-cylinder petrol engine (333bhp). Next generation driver assistance systems include Active Brake Assist, Attention Assist, Drive Pilot (which represents the company's next step to autonomous driving), Active Lane Keeping Assist, and Active Lane-change Assistant, which allows the driver to steer into the selected lane as if by magic. The sum total of its innovations make the E-Class the most intelligent saloon in the business class.

Unless i have chauffer. Lol W213 E200 Avant Garde or Exclusive will probably cost $270+k assuming OMV is $55k. W213 has more advance features than W222. Unless one purely looking at the moniker, the wise money goes for new W213
Spring Moderator January 27, 2016 Share January 27, 2016 if new E class w213 cost 280k and a used 1 yr old S class w222 cost 330K, which one would you all choose? Other than the worry of teething problems, new E class with the latest features and new look wins hands down for me. Cheaper as well but to be fair the 1 yr old is an S class, so not apple to apple comparison but I'm happy with an E. S for towkays and normally to be chauffeured IMO.
