Porker Turbocharged December 6, 2014 Share December 6, 2014 The Singapore companies - even those so called global companies with businesses all over the continents - mostly have an SME mindset. They hire cheap and expect quality. Remember the cheaper better faster slogan? I had a run in with one big investment firm and the quality of the people there with the civil service kiasi mentality is just too obvious and terrible *shakes head*

Kac 4th Gear December 8, 2014 Share December 8, 2014 Very difficult to explain. There are too many types of prices. In the SAME Economy class category, there are at least 8 different types of prices. K,V,N,Q,H,E,B,Y K is lowest category. Y is the highest category. And the prices differences between K to Y is about S$1400. Even in FIRST or BUSINESS Class, they are also break up into many category. First : F,R Business : D,J,C,Z Strictly speaking R (Suites) is a class "beyond first" (F) according to SQ marketing apparently...Even BP and tags are different (Red vs Gold).. End of the day, they are both way overpriced..
Sabian Turbocharged December 8, 2014 Share December 8, 2014 I'm assuming the $6615 is Australian dollars which is equivalent to S$7283?? If that is correct does it mean SIA sell Business Class return tickets from say Sydney to London for around the same price that they sell Business Class return tickets from Singapore to London?? The return journey is approx 8000 miles longer Why is it we Singaporeans get STUNG by our own airline???? Every carrier tend to do this to their home based traveller in order to encourage transit flights from another country to another destination via their home base.

Sometimes when you buy cheap fares from other carriers, be mentally prepared you may get bumped off your flight if your fare is in the lowest tier bucket. But for carriers like SQ, they manage their flight sales very tightly so the chances of getting bumped off is low.

Vid Hypersonic December 8, 2014 Share December 8, 2014 Finally, after they heard so much complains, now they relented... They must have gotten so much backlash ... Hahahah :)) The decision should be to honour it in the first instance. Don't drag and come out with things like asking customers to fork out more. Makes the company look really bad. Now it just seemed like they are trying to appease the public and redeem themselves. Not that fantastic anymore. I'm sure the money SIA spends on advertising is more than the $3m. But still, better late than never.
