Which workshop to repair car doors dings?

Hi all,

I check through the forum for this, but could not find a thread.

For the repair of car door dings, which workshop would you recommend for good quality at reasonable prices? Most important can collect the car within a day.

I have about 4-5 car door dings, went down to Revol grooming and they quoted me $1000 ($250 x 4 door panels). They could not do spot repair, and they say they have to paint the whole door. I thought that is overkill.

If you have good recommendation, please post here or PM me.

Thanks

I think you search or Google for paintless dent removal, these 3 keywords.

Becoz some repairs are done by using putty to fill the dings and dents and spray paint over them. So the keyword here is paintless.

U want to do spray painting or just to push out the dings?

Some of the dings are chip off, scratches, so I think need to apply putty and respray. But they are not big...say 1-2 mm kind.

But I was thinking of spot repair, and not respraying the whole door panel.

i have not seen anyone who can do spot repair by "spray" that tiny spot and flush with the area

that's why 9/10 workshop will suggest to respray the whole "thing" be it door, bumper, front panel, etc

I see.

Anyway, you might want to push out the dings first.

You can call Ah Meng at 81138001. He operate from a MSCP at Sengkang.

Spot spray painting very difficult, most workshop will respray the whole panel or at least half.

U can go to PDR. Here's the address. It's not as cheap as uncle Meng. But at least u can go down at ur own convenient timing.

They can get rid of the dents and dings. But they don't do spraying/painting.

So if u really want the door repainted, u have to find a workshop that does spraying. A door should only cost around $200 to re spray.

Hi guys,

I am looking for a good workshop for scratch, door dings and paint repair. Hopefully someone can recommend me a workshop that do in-house (and not send the car to some 3rd party) that is reasonable price, good service and preferably one with a waiting room.

Thanks!
